Rooms are small and the bed very uncomfortable, featuring old wooden floors that amplify sound, making it hard to sleep. The bathroom layout is confusing. you have to walk through the shower to get to the toilet, and the light switch is outside. No breakfast service is available, which is a letdown.

Hillside Manor offers a unique experience in Bulawayo. I loved the welcoming host who was very understanding when we arrived late. The room was clean with fresh towels provided daily, which I really appreciated. The backup generator for electricity was a nice touch, giving me peace of mind. The garden environment was delightful, perfect for relaxation. The staff deserves a shoutout, always ready to engage and help, especially when they assisted with my flat tire. the bathroom layout was odd. it felt much larger than the room itself and accessing the toilet through the shower was inconvenient. not having breakfast available was disappointing.
